Dr. K. Ted Hartwig, PhD, P.E.
Dr. K. Ted Hartwig is the President of Shear Form, Inc. and a professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University (TAMU). He has worked in the field of severe plastic deformation processing since 1992, and has led an ECAE research group at TAMU during this period. Dr. Hartwig has a working relationship with many individuals in the superconductor manufacturing community, and understands important related aspects of refractory metal forming technology. Dr. Hartwig assists with materials characterization studies, communications and management of outside collaborators, economic predictions involving commercialization, process design, and analysis.
